Infrastructure-data management for transport companies

Since business processes in the area of railway facilities of transport companies have an exceptionally high data relevance and during the planning , construction and maintenance of facilities a number of people are involved who continuously rely on reliable and up-to-date data, the ministry of transport has selected the theme “infrastructure data management” (IDM) as topic for a research project IDMVU. The research content is the development of a standardised data model as well as standards for the exchange of data.

Within the 3 rd level of this research project Schreck-Mieves has submitted its comprehensive experience in the areas of:

  • Inspection analysis
  • database based condition analysis
  • maintenance and site management
  • seminars and training

for a condition based, innovative maintenance management system for tracks, signalling, catenaries and railway power supply. The 16 sub-processes of this maintenance management system are one outcome of this project. The results of the current research have been published as ‘VDV Schrift 456’ and are freely available under http://www.idmvu.org/

Both the data management and the data structure of MR.pro® comply with the IDMVU standard.
